Информация: The next chapter from Astpai, thirteen more blistering tracks of anthemic, gritty, and catchy punk rock from Austria’s native sons and the hardest working band out of Europe.
*** ‘Burden Calls’ was recorded between october 2013 and january 2014 at S.T.R.E.S.S. studio Graz, austria together with Tom Zwanzger. Mastered by Alan Douches (Jets To Brazil, Painted Black, Kid Dynamite) West West Side Music NY. It’s ASTPAI’s fifth full length record to date, containing their catchiest, most creative and most playful songs so far. The relatively new line up (Toni on drums, Bernhard on bass) has ultimately established itself with the thirteen tracks on ‘Burden Calls’, leaving no doubt, that the past years of hard work have been absolutely worth it. Lyric-wise, the album tells a story about self doubt, fear and misery, but also about the ongoing quest to find hope and love for all the right things in this world. On one hand, it is just a collection of thoughts and dialogues in the life of a fictional character. On the other hand, it is pure self reflection of writer and vocalist Zock. Musically, ‘Burden Calls’ sounds both heavier and catchier at the same time than the previous full lengths. The songs are shorter, on point with big choruses, loud-ass guitars and bittersweet harmonies. “We put absolutely everything into this record. Each note is exactly where we wanted it to be and each line is meant exactly the way i wrote it. ‘Burden Calls’ is the most exciting record we’ve ever worked on and you can hear it!” – Zock
